Refining the Cultural Probes

Just a glimpse of what the cultural probes look like. Though a few more changes were made in laying them out. They are an extremely important part of the design research phase and need to be perfect. It is basically a notebook diary(with those ruled lines) consisting of three lessons/chapters with an introductory page, an assignment page and then a few empty pages to do the assignment. It comes in an envelope school bag!

A poem about how individuals learn and teach in different ways and a following assignment where the participant has to write an informal letter to their friend explaining one good and one bad learning experience, each in the analog and digital world.

A study that shows that some people learn by hearing, some by seeing, some by hearing and seeing simultaneously and some by reading. A following assignment where the participant has to find out which type of learner he and his friends are and cite examples.

A joke about a teaching applicant who finds it unbelievable what all she is expected to teach the kids in her classroom, with just a blackboard, some chalks and a few books. This is to ask the participants whether classroom teaching is the only and most efficient way of teaching? Or can there be other teaching patterns? The following assignment asks them to brew a new teaching formula by combining their favourite learning experiences and the way they were taught.
